Meet Dr. Gan
Dr. Jade Gan was born and raised in Manitoba, Canada and then moved to a small town in Indiana before moving to the Greater Seattle area. She attended Seattle University, where she graduated cum laude and completed a double degree in both Mathematics and General Science with Pre-Professional Specialization in addition to her Minor in Studio Art. She flew east to graduate to New York University College of Dentistry and complete a one-year residency at Nassau University Medical Center.
Dr. Gan believes it is really important for her patients to have really good experiences coming to the dentist. This can help remove one potential barrier that may prevent patients from getting much needed dental work—dental fear and anxiety. Her laid back, caring, and humorous nature allows her patients to feel comfortable in the chair and open to asking any questions they may have. To help provide the best care possible, she spends several weekends taking continuing education to bring back information, techniques, and materials that can improve her patient’s oral health.
Dr. Gan finds it so important to give back to the community. She has spent over five years working in community health centers, serving patients who have limited access to health care. She has also donated her time and services at the Seattle King County Clinic to provide free dental care for the last four years. She also indirectly helps many other patients by teaching her fellow colleagues at the annual Pacific Northwest Dental Conference. Understanding how crucial the anesthetic portion of dental procedures are, she teaches a class on how to give local anesthetic injections comfortably to promote a more positive dental experience for all patients.
In her free time, Dr. Gan likes to spend time with her family, husband, and her little nephews. You might also find her working out at the gym, dancing like nobody's watching, running outside with her run club, or enjoying a comedy at the movies. Given the right cause, she also loves to volunteer, whether it’s related to dentistry or another heartfelt cause.
